Stars Hollow to the Silver Screen?
Are Lorelai and Rory hitting the big screen? Gilmore Girls movie talks rev up
Houston native Alexis Bledel might be headed back to town, this time on the silver screen. The other half of the Gilmore Girls duo, Parenthood's Lauren Graham, recently told Vanity Fair (in what is, by the way, one phenomenal interview) that talks of bringing Stars Hollow to the big screen have resumed.
Interestingly enough, she didn't sound too excited: "What’s funny to me is that in all these years, no one ever talked about it except the fans. But now people with power, people who could actually make it happen, are talking about it. I think it could be good, but I wonder if we’ve waited too long. I don’t want to be walking around the town square with a cane."
She went on to say that she sees the potential for it to be, in her words "a terrible movie."
"The show was never very plot driven. That is what might be uncovered in a two-hour movie. You’d be like, 'Wait a minute, they just talk and make fun of things.' "
As one who enjoyed the Sex and the City movies, I think you can guess where I stand. But how do you feel? Would you see a Gilmore Girls movie?
