Banish "I'm bored" from their vocabularies with the help of Paper Source, which is hosting week-long sessions for kids seven and up. They can discover, design, and craft with a variety of materials while focusing on a new project each week. Escape the summer heat at Studio Movie Grill with its Children Summer Series: screenings of popular kids' films are only $1. This month’s features include Shrek (June 10-14), Despicable Me (June 17-21), and Trolls (June 24-28).

Parachute Play Time with Gymboree Play & Music, presented by Texas Children's Hospital West Campus, occurs the third Friday of every month, March through October, from 10 am-noon. The event is a morning of toddler-friendly fun with song, dance, and the famous 20-foot parachute.

For the foodies
On June 11, pizza fans can start ordering off Grimaldi's Pizzeria's summer selections, which incorporate seasonal flavors such as tangy barbecue, fresh berries, crisp spinach, and crunchy almonds. Must-have items include barbecue chicken pizza, strawberry spinach salad, blueberry and strawberry cheesecakes, Summertime Sangria, and the watermelon mule. Start your meal off right with the lemon arugula salad and roasted red pepper and ricotta bruschetta, and don't miss the two new chef selections: prosciutto arugula pizza and a vegetarian, nut-free Garden Pesto pizza.

Indulge your craving for the brand-new menus at International Smoke CityCentre. During lunch, choose from an array of new salad and sandwich options, including the herbed chicken and truffle Caesar salad, 44 Farms sirloin wedge, the Kalua pulled pork sandwich, and the Heritage turkey burger.

CityCentre is celebrating America's independence with a bang by hosting a live concert featuring People's Choice Band. The free event begins at 7 pm, with a 15-minute fireworks show starting at 9:30 pm. Parking will be $10 in all four garages beginning at 4 pm.

Wake up the rest of your weekends with live music in the plaza every Friday and Saturday from 7-10 pm. You can groove to an array of genres, from smooth jazz to classic rock, Caribbean steel drums to country.

Join Life Time Athletic for a relaxing hour of free yoga in the plaza every Tuesday morning at 8:30 am. This class is open to members and non-members.

For those looking to do some good
Have a glass of lemonade in the plaza on June 8 from 5-8 pm with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national childhood cancer nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer.

On July 11, the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be onsite at CityCentre with its mobile donation center from 9 am-1:30 pm. Look for the truck outside of Anthropologie.
