Warlock with a Bat
Charlie Sheen torpedoes himself into a University of Houston baseball practice;flirts with Killen's
First James Franco gets accepted to the University of Houston’s doctoral program in literature and creative writing and now Charlie Sheen is playing baseball with the Cougars? Who knew UH was such a magnet for quirky celebs?
Sheen worked out with the UH baseball team Monday night, taking batting practice, participating in field drills, attempting to throw the Cougar sign and posing for post-play pictures with 10 members of the squad. No stranger to baseball diamonds, Sheen seems to seek out teams to practice with during his Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour. He took batting practice with Georgia Tech's baseball team and attended a Florida Marlins game and met with team members like ace pitcher Josh Johnson on other recent tour stops.
In Houston for Tuesday night's show at the Verizon Wireless Theater, the self-proclaimed warlock also entertained thoughts of steak and, through his manager, made inquiries at Killen’s Steakhouse in Pearland about Monday night dinner reservations. Although his crew ate at the steakhouse, Sheen never showed, but executive chef Ronnie Killen is going to be prepared just in case Sheen is in the mood for a post-show steak tonight.
