That sexy working mom: The secret maneuvering behind the Beyoncé comeback
New dad Jay-Z returned to the concert circuit soon after the arrival of daughter Blue Ivy Carter in January, with benefits in February, SXSW shows in March and the European component of the Watch the Throne tour lined up for early May.
Beyoncé is proving that she can bounce back just as easily with the news of a trio of shows over Memorial Day weekend — her first performances since giving birth.
Tickets for the exclusive concerts go on sale April 6, but apparently Beyoncé has a much larger comeback in mind.
The Houston-born pop star's back-to-back concerts on May 25, 26 and 27 will mark the grand opening of Revel, an impressive mega-resort going up along the beachfront in Atlantic City, N.J.
Tickets for the exclusive concerts go on sale April 6, but apparently Beyoncé has a much larger comeback in mind: The New York Post is reporting that Jay-Z has approached Live Nation about a full-scale tour.
According to the publication's source, "Just weeks after the birth of Blue Ivy, Jay met with Live Nation to discuss a tour for Beyoncé. He wanted a deal worth about $150 million, but they countered with a lower offer."
Columbia Records chairman Rob Stringer claims that the touring plan for 4, Beyoncé's most recent album, is "extensive" — plus, the star is already working on two follow-up albums.
