Homes for the Holidays
Adoptable puppies and kittens star in Neiman Marcus' holiday window displays
They say petting a cute animal can significantly lower stress levels, and we can't think of a more potentially stressful time than the holidays.
Luckily, the 36th annual Homes for the Holidays pet adoption event hosted by Neiman Marcus and the Houston SPCA is back beginning at 9 am on Friday, November 29, and it would make even the Grinch's heart grow three sizes.
Snuggly, adorable, and most importantly adoptable canines and cats will be featured in the luxury retail brand’s magical storefront windows, designed by Kim Hartz, every weekend through December 12.
Beginning Friday, December 13, the schedule increases to daily and continues through Saturday, December 21.
What if you want to do more than simply "ooh" and "ahh" at the frolicking felines and playful puppies? Adoptable small dogs will also be walked around for meet-and-greets with shoppers and potential adopters.
Each pet adoption package at the Houston SPCA is valued at around $500 and includes:
- the pet’s microchip
- spay or neuter surgery
- up-to-date vaccinations
- a free sample-sized bag of Hill’s Science Diet
While the available pets will vary at Neiman Marcus, all available pets at the Houston SPCA can be found here.
