Weekend Riders
Here we go again: METRORail breaks for weekend construction
Need to take the rail this weekend? You're taking the bus.
METRORail will again suspend their services from 8 p.m. Friday until midnight Sunday so that Texas Children's Hospital can finish construction on a pedestrian bridge. METRO buses will be ready to meet passengers at stops next to the rail line.
Passengers wishing to take the train at the Memorial Hermann Hospital/Houston Zoo platforms or the Dryden/TMC platforms can find service via a shuttle bus on Main Street making stops at the north and southbound platforms.
Those who usually take the rail from the Main Street Square platform can board the shuttle bus at Main and Walker to go north or hop on another shuttle at Main and Dallas to travel south.
METRO says it's unclear if this is the last weekend the rail will stop for construction of the hospital's pedestrian bridge.
