The people have spoken.

We put our fate in your able hands and the winner of our CulturePoll vote for what fine art would bedeck the walls of our nearly finished CultureLounge is (*drumroll please*) James Glassman's graphic take on the Astrodome.

The piece was an office and obvious fan favorite for its modern look at a Houston icon. Glassman also gets points for his happy adherence to our demand for bright yellow, altering a photograph of the dome ceiling to create an abstract black-and-yellow piece we think will go perfectly in our modern yet cozy room.

Kristi Hughes' striking map and artist Hahn Tran's lush oil painting mounted strong challenges to Glassman, though, and who knows — we might find another spot for them in our office yet.

Producing and hanging the Glassman piece will be the near-final step to our grand reveal, slated for Friday. It's been a long 30 days-plus of making over the odd-shaped room of our office into a hip lounge with furniture provided by IKEA, and we're ready to kick back and enjoy the fruits of our labor.
