Oct 5, 2010 | 2:41 pm
A fire broke out at the Kirby Whole Foods with afternoon shoppers in the building. The fire could be seen in the second-level pumpkin display right behind the Whole Foods sign.
Smoke billowed far into the sky and a horde of emergency vehicles rushed to the scene. Shortly after 2:30 p.m., the fire appeared to be out, but the smoke was still visible as firefighters assessed what to do next. There is noticeable damage to at least the second non-shopping level of the store.
