Halloween spooktacular: Top 10 scariest haunted houses in Houston
Halloween is still several weeks away, leaving plenty of time to plan your parties and figure out your costumes. But that doesn't mean you can't start celebrating. The Bayou City's haunted houses are roaring to go, and ready to scare the daylights out of all who enter. We asked Houstonians to list the creepiest abodes around town. Below are two of the top 10 scariest haunted houses in H-Town, according to the city's residents.
Creepy Hollow Haunted House
Creepy Hollow tops the list, receiving the most votes by a landslide. The overwhelming favorite, named the scariest haunt in Texas, is reportedly so frightening that some adults don't make it all the way through. "You really feet like you got your money's worth," said one ABC13 viewer. Creepy Hollow is open Thursday through Friday from 7 pm - 12 am and Sunday from 7-10 pm, now through November 4. Tickets: $30 per person. Go big and pay an extra $10 per person to skip to the front of the line.

Fearshire Farms
You may have seen Fearshire Farms on the Travel Channel's "Halloween's Craziest" series. Allegedly haunted (for real), the 1900s farm house is situated in a corn field (cue the spooky music) and the grounds include a family cemetery. Fearshire Farms is open various days and times, including September 29 and 30, as well as several dates in October. Click here for the full schedule. Tickets: $20-$30 per person. Active military, police, fire and EMS members receive free admission.
