Adorable pups greet potential owners at Friends for Life fundraiser
There's no such thing as a dog-eat-dog world as far as Friends for Life is concerned. The no-kill animal shelter, rescue and adoption organization groomed a handful of adorable four-legged pals to meet-and-greet potential upright companions in hopes of finding furr-ever homes.
The "Pints for Pups" fundraiser at the dog-friendly Underdogs Sports Pub on Saturday welcomed supporters of the nonprofit's life-saving programs. Pi Pizza food truck served human treats while What's Up Cupcake food truck also offered pupcakes suitable for the social canines.
Sponsor Sterling McCall Lexus got in the spirit by topping its redesigned IS luxury vehicle with giveaways for pet owners. Local businesses, includingKendra Scott, Edward Sanchez Vanity Lounge, Langford Market, Natural Pawz, Raising Cane's, Heron Lakes Golf Course and others, contributed to a raffle that enticed guests with items that pampered both pooch parents and their loyal hounds.
