Aug 19, 2010 | 6:23 am
Poor Rice. The current KTRU drama has completely overshadowed some great news for the school. For the third year in a row, Rice University has been ranked the 17th best university in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
Rice tied for its spot with Vanderbilt University, with both schools scoring 82 out of a possible 100 points, while Harvard edged out Princeton and Yale for the top spot with a perfect score.
Rice also compared well with other top schools on the list, with the lowest tuition and fees for the 2010-2011 school year among the Top 20.
Other Texas schools listed in the Top 100 are the University of Texas (45), SMU (56), Texas A&M (63), Baylor (79) and TCU (99).
