Hold on to your wallets: Uber to begin charging customers for the return of lost items
Jul 27, 2017 | 4:00 pm
The next time you take a ride with Uber, make sure you check the seats and floor for your personal items before you exit. That's because if you forget something and want it back, you'll pay a price.
Beginning nationwide by the end of August, the ride-sharing king will begin charging a $15 fee for the return of keys, phones, wallets, and the likes.
Uber explains that many drivers return items on their own time; thus, the company has decided to reward them for reuniting forgetful people with their belongings.
