Move Over Housewives
Another Bravo reality series for Houston, really! — and no housewives wereinvited
Hold on to your remotes, reality TV fans. Houston has yet another reality series in the making and this one is for real, really. This time it's Bravo's Salon Takeover.
And the victim is . . . Salon Vendome on San Felipe.
The doors are shuttered. The windows are blacked out. A handwritten note on the door advises that the place is closed until Saturday. And CultureMap knows why.
It's a takeover makeover for the ailing beauty spot.
Between smokes this week in the Randall's parking lot (she really should quit), Salon Takeover star Tabatha Coffey has been ordering the Vendome staff around, demanding this, insisting on that while the cameras roll. Ah, the harsh financial realities of a business in which Japanese straightening vies with natural extensions for the customer's favor. When the cameras weren't rolling, they were stashed in the upstairs party room of neighboring Ciao Bello.
Can the platinum blonde with the British accent save Salon Vendome? Only time and Bravo will tell.
No further details available at the moment. We do know, however, that Cindi Rose is not involved. Neither is Erica. They would've told us.
CultureMap is checking out the "new" Salon Vendome this weekend and we'll let you know what we learn and what we see.
