The best view of Houston's fireworks ever: 44 floors up with the booms
Fourth of July celebrating called for some good ole American food and of course fireworks. Around Houston, there were a lot of great vantage points to watch a show.
But maybe none better than this one. One regular CultureMap reader, James Jackson, found himself on the 44th-floor balcony of the Bank of America building downtown, watching the Freedom Over Texas fireworks. He was able to capture this incredible shot, earning Pix of the Day.
Thousands of people gathered at Eleanor Tinsley Park to view the celebration. It was said that this year's show had 2,000 more shells than previous years and enough firepower to shoot fireworks for 20 minutes straight.
The view was amazing and James was able to get some great shots. Thanks for sharing with us!
