Everything's Bigger in Texas
How many countries could you cram into Texas? The answer is a lot!

Just how big is the Lone Star State? Pretty darn huge, says SelfStorage.com. Though residents are thinking, "obviously," outsiders might be shocked to see how big Texas actually is, and just how many countries could fit inside it.
SelfStorage.com used a tool called TrueSize to accurately project the massiveness of Texas, saying that with its 261,231 square miles of land, Texas would be the 39th largest country by land area in the world. Hypothetically, the storage site asks, what other countries could fit inside Texas?
To start with: the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Luxembourg, and Hungary — all at once and with room to spare. We could fit nearly three United Kingdoms, and roughly two Italys, Germanys, and Japans.
A trio of Sweden, Iceland, and Denmark could also pack into Texas together.
Madagascar and Myanmar would be a tight squeeze, but they'd each fit separately inside the Lone Star State. And Afghanistan, the 40th biggest country in the world, could cram itself in there, just barely.
