For once, treating yourself to a meal on the town is actually helping to treat someone else.
Today is the 19th annual Dining Out For Life, when participating restaurants across Houston (and the world) will donate 33 percent of food bills to fight HIV/AIDS. In Houston proceeds will go to AIDS Foundation Houston.
This deal is good all day long, so you could start the day off at Baby Barnaby's or The Breakfast Klub, head to lunch at Baba Yega or Lola, and grab dinner from Arcodoro or Benjy's.
Check out a full list of the nearly 50 participating restaurants, available on the Dining Out For Life site and at b4-u-eat.
Every genre of restaurant is represented, from pizza to Vietnamese to tacos to pub fare. As an added bonus, when dining you can ask your server for a drawing envelope and enter to win some great prizes — last year's grand prize was two first-class roundtrip tickets on Continental.
Wherever you head, it's bound to be the most satisfying meal of the year.
