The logistics of President Obama's big-dollar Houston trip and a whirlwind fourhours
Air Force One is expected to touch down at Ellington Field a 4:40 p.m. on Friday afternoon — so if you have an extraordinarily difficult time getting home after work, blame it on the president.
This time, it will definitely be his fault.
Barack Obama has two campaign fundraising events scheduled during his quick trip to Houston. Those getting face time with the POTUS, are shelling out big bucks — or have raised big bucks for the president.
First up is a reception at Union Station at Minute Maid Park for an anticipated 600 attendees. Guests will pay $500 for the reception and a handshake, or $10,000 for a photo opportunity with the Commander in Chief.

An alert from the Downtown Management District warns that the "Secret Service is keeping the route under wraps, but [street] closures are anticipated between 3 - 6:30 pm near and around the park."
Later, a more intimate affair will be held at the River Oaks home of Tony Chase. Even if you can afford the entrance fee (a cool $38,500, though some who raised large amounts of cash for the president have also been invited), don't expect to get in — the 60-person guest list has been filled and vetted by the Secret Service.
You can expect road closures in the River Oaks area as the motorcade makes it way from Minute Maid to Chase's estate. Air Force One is scheduled to fly out of Ellington around 9:10 p.m.
