J.T. Skilling, the youngest son of former Enron president Jeff Skilling, was found dead in his Orange County apartment this week, KUHF-FM reports.
20-year-old John Taylor Skilling was a sophomore at Chapman University in Orange, Calif. Friends discovered his body in his Santa Ana apartment on Tuesday, and authorities say there was nothing in the apartment to indicate foul play or a cause of death. According to the Orange County Coroner's Office toxicology tests to determine cause of death could take four to six weeks.
Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna told the Associated Press that bottles of medication were found near Skilling, who had been distraught over a breakup with his girlfriend. Skilling was found dead after he failed to meet friends for dinner and they called police.
Skilling graduated from Houston's Episcopal High School in 2009. His father is serving a 24-year sentence for several counts of fraud, insider trading and conspiracy relating to his role at Enron.
