Young professionals rock rooftop party for hot new Houston app
What: The Urbane Society party
Where:B&B Butchers & Restaurant
The scoop: “Exclusive by choice, inclusive by design” was the mantra of the sold-out night as 250 of Houston’s finest young professionals mixed and mingled at B&B Butchers & Restaurant to learn more about The Urbane Society, a new members-only mobile app launching in May. The app allows young professionals — ages 21 to 34 — to experience fine dining with access to exclusive privileges such as discounted rates, special perks, members-only parties and events, and affordable quotes for personal parties. Integrated with OpenTable, the app will allow members to make reservations and sync credit card information to access and pay for fine dining deals with a touch of a finger.
The app will be available for download in the Apple store and Google Play store in May 2018. Dining destinations set to be offered on the app include B&B Butchers & Restaurant, Le Colonial, and The Grove.
Nicholas Florescu, entrepreneur and founder/CEO of The Urbane Society and Kubis Interactive, the company which built the app, welcomed guests and provided background on the app, which will target dynamic professionals to support the future growth of popular restaurants by providing a unique dining experience. DJ Johnny Mac mixed on the upstairs patio while party-goers hit the open bar and snacked on light bites such as mini beef wellingtons, crab cakes, Chef Tommy’s bacon, and more. The party continued with dancing, late-night snacks, and raffle prizes.
