A swanky River Oaks pool provides the perfect setting for a performance artist's VIP moment

The 411: After her sold-out presentation at the second annual Mitchell Center Artist Lecture series at the University of Houston, the multi-media artist was guest of honor at a swank dinner attended by some 50 VIPs including UH Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts executive director Karen Farber. Guests mingled around the beautiful outdoor pool setting and supped on Mexican fare from the kitchen of Jackson and Co. and savored their time with the creative force.
Who: Dinner guests included UH Blaffer Art Museum director and chief curator Claudia Schmuckli, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston director Bill Arning and Mark McCray, Alley Theatre managing director Dean Gladden, artist Josh Pazda and Tootsies' Chris Goins, art collector Judy Nyquist, Stephan Farber, Mark Wawro, Emily Todd and Rainey Knudson and Michael Galbreth.
