It was almost all-business as a group of Houston's social swans, along with a few gents, gathered at Corner Table for a mid-week luncheon hosted by the restaurant's owner Darla Lexington, her daughter and co-owner Michele Coopwood, and Debbie Festari.
In addition to discussing their recent summer travels and trading gossip about assorted social topics, the guests talked money matters with Lou Pelz, investment manager and owner of Core Capital Management & Research.
The restaurant's new chef Ja'Nel Witt, who shot to fame as the Season 11 winner of the Gordon Ramsay reality TV showHell's Kitchen, dazzled the diners with her award-winning specialties, including Chicken Orzo and cauliflower grits. The group topped off the meal with a spectacular avocado mousse and desert wine.
In the stellar luncheon crowd were Vivian Wise, Leisa Holland Nelson, Liz Glanville, Patti Murphy, Rasha Nasreddin, Nicole Lassiter, Tammie Johnson, Diane Caplan, Cody Soutar and Jonathan Blake.
