Hip new boutique opens with a red leather dress bang: Champagne party overflows with fashionistas
Luvi Wheelock could well have been singing "Another Op'nin, Another Show" as she unlocked the doors to the new location of her hip designer boutique, Atrium Ready to Wear, in River Oaks Shopping Center. Little more than a week earlier, she had thrown the opening party for the new location of her bridal salon, Casa de Novia, just next door.
On this night, she had designer Sally LaPointe in house to discuss her fall collection that features hot red leather, cut-out dresses and sharp separates. And in LaPointe's honor, Luvi stepped out in one of the designer's crisply-tailored blazers, worn with white Yigal Azrouël slacks.
The champagne party, which doubled as a fundraiser for Heroes for Children, was hosted by Greggory Burk, Flora Crosswell, Allie Fields, Karen Mayell, Elizabeth Petersen and Celina Stabell. Their friends and charity supporters turned out in force with the fashionistas over-flowing into adjoining Casa de Novia.
The fashion flock included Tiffany Smith, Maria Vilchez, Ursaline Hamilton, Sarah Gruber, Karra Marino and a few gents including Carlos Wheelock and Gary Petersen.
