Best-selling author mesmerizes luncheon audience with keyboard riff and tales of travel

The scoop: Best-selling author, screenwriter, playwright and journalist Mitch Albom enchanted the gathering of more than 250 with tales of his travels and the impact of everyone that he meets. His presentation included a keyboard riff, reading from his new book, The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto, and tying it all back to the work of hospice.
Marsha and Bill Hyslop chaired the luncheon that raised close to $175,000 for the Butterfly Program, which is a national leader in pediatric hospice care.
