A Smart gathering: Ambassadors for Texas Children’s Hospital holiday party raises $1.77 million
What: Ambassadors for Texas Children’s Hospital Holiday Party.
Where: The home of Marcia and Brig Smart.
The scoop: The holidays will be a little brighter for patients at Texas Children’s thanks to the hundreds of toys donated by more than 300 guests at the Ambassadors for Texas Children’s Hospital Holiday Party.
Another reason to celebrate: Carol and Mike Linn, co-chairs of the Promise Campaign, a fundraiser with the goal of raising $475 million to help ensure that the hospital is able to meet current pressing challenges as well as the needs of the growing pediatric population in our community, presented a check for more than $1.77 million to Dr. Charles D. Fraser Jr., surgeon-in-chief of Texas Children’s, in support of the endeavor.
Three trees, holiday lights, and lively music set the backdrop for the festive soiree as guests sipped pomegranate margaritas and snacked on gourmet bites, from duck confit tacos to cauliflower couscous to peppermint brownies, by Swift + Company.
Ambassadors for Texas Children’s Hospital share a dedication to the hospital's mission and serve as a strong voice for children and women who need specialized care.
