The holiday spirit of giving soared among Texas Children's Hospital Ambassadors, who raised enough money during the year to present the hospital with a check for a whopping $2.4 million. More than 500 Ambassadors turned out for the presentation that was made to Texas Children's surgeon-in-chief Dr. Charles Fraser.
Dressed in their holiday finest, the Ambassadors gathered for the cocktail reception in a vast party tent erected at the home of Amy and Hardy Murchison.
Elizabeth Swift's Swift + Company worked its magic not only with the tent decor (think boxwood walls, rustic chandeliers and twinkle lights) but also with the party fare (envision an elaborate array of French-inspired light bites) that guests happily consumed. Add bouquets of winter flowers by Jonathan Sage and you get the festive picture.
Among those celebrating the generous gift that will support surgery services at Texas Children's Hospital were Laura and Brett Chiles, Sidney Faust, Judi McGee, Suzanne and Doug Koch, Jennifer and Tadd Tellepsen, Amy and Brent Youngblood, Sheri and Camp Bailey, Rachael and Jason Volz and Joan and John Scales.
