Chocolate-chip pancakes, instrument petting zoo and Santa highlight midday musical fete

The scoop: The Jingle Bell Rock-themed event featured photo opps with Santa, arts and crafts, an instrument petting zoo and a musical performance by Houston Symphony violinist Rodica Gonzalez and her 7-year-old son Matthew. Add a family-friendly buffet complete with chocolate-chip pancakes.
The midday fete was chaired by Kathy and Paul Mann and his parents, Carolyn and Michael Mann. Cora Sue Mach was designated as honorary grandmother of the event that raised $50,000 for the symphony's education and community programming.
