Highland Village Ferrari Festival paces the fastest players in town
Nothing like a cadre of hot cars to warm up a chilly afternoon.
Just ask the 1,000 sightseers who turned out Sunday for the Highland Village Ferrari Festival. Getting up-close-and-personal with cars priced into the six-figure range can be almost as exhilarating as that 0-to-60-mph-in-3.5- seconds rush.
Attendees warmed their frosty fingers with servings of hot chocolate and cider and fueled their inner fires with sustenance from Escalante's, RA Sushi, PF Chang's and Tasti D-Lite.
Highland Village salon owner Michael Kemper joined up with ABC's Rebecca Spera, host of Mirror, Mirror, to emcee the day-long event that benefited Texas Children's Hospital.
Highland Village CEO Haidar Barbouti had to love the turnout and all those potential shoppers who surely took advantage of the holiday offerings from the dozen or so shops that fill the chichi center. Chairing the festival was Highland Village proprietor Franco Valobra, whose jewelry emporium has won the hearts of many a socialite.
Mixing through the throngs were Nancy Valobra, John Puckett, Lynn and Bob Keener, Sallie Cruger, Dr. ZoAnn Dryer, Shannon Price, Lisa McCoy and Greg Price.
