Tokyo, Beijing, Geneva and Houston: Swank, VIP-only tour makes time for a stop at Tony's
The 30th anniversary of F.P. Journe watches was reason enough for founder Francois-Paul Journe to head out on a world tour celebrating three decades of creating luxury Swiss timepieces. Before heading to Tokyo, Beijing and Geneva for special events, Journe dropped down in Houston for a swank dinner in the wine cellar at Tony's.
The sleek watches are carried at Zadok Jewelers where they are displayed in an F.P. Journe espace, a corner designed similarly to the Journe boutiques, of which there are only four in the United States.
With Helene and Dror Zadok on vacation, their sons — Jonathan, Segev with wife Amy, and Gilad — handled hosting duties. The invitation-only group spent the cocktail hour visiting with Journe and the Swiss watch manufacturer's GM Pierre Halimi and viewing the collection of watches, only 900 of which are made each year. The special design is noted for movement made exclusively of 18-karat rose gold.
Getting in a head start on holiday shopping were Antonio Marziale, Katie and A.J. Brass, Adria and Chris Clark, Bob Marshak, Jonathan Le, Nancy and Frank Dickof, Tom Tyrrell, Jacqueline and Steven Fein, John Raymond, Sandy Anderson, Ugo Tombolini and Tammy and Wayne Nguyen.
