Texas Children's Hospital celebrates two decades of great questions at "What's Up Doc?" dinner
Inquiring minds want to know. And that is one facet of Texas Children's Hospital's highly successful "What's Up Doc?" fundraiser. More than 400 paying guests turned out for the recent dinner fete with close to 100 surgeons, doctors and specialists serving as table hosts.
Donors savored not only the meal from Swift + Co. but also the opportunity for one-on-one, question-and-answer dialogue with the experts.
It was the 20th anniversary of the event that on this night was held on the fourth floor of Texas Children's Pavilion for Women. As is tradition, Texas Children's CEO Mark Wallace welcomed guests and also shared medical and philanthropic highlights that have occurred during those two decades.
The evening was chaired by Jennifer and David Ducote with Nancy Gordon, who co-founded the event with Linda Evans, in the mix.
Texas Children's supporters on hand included Rachel McNeill, Andrea and Michael Soper, Alexandra and Brady Knight, Barbara Robertson, Melissa and Matt Morris, Lisa and Michael Holthouse, Janet Cockrell, Nancy and Pete Dawson and physicians Dr. Fernando Stein, Dr. Wayne Franklin and Dr. Chad Lemaire.
