Archie Manning tells all on Peyton Manning, Eli and more in a special Houston dinner
It was SRO at Hotel ZaZa when NFL great Archie Manning took the spotlight, and charmed most if not all of the 470 guests, as keynote speaker at the Knowledge Arts Foundation dinner. Interviewed by CBS Sports' Spencer Tillman, Manning spilled the beans on what it was like raising three sons — Cooper, Peyton and Eli. He also shared his thoughts on children in sports, education, the SEC and football today.
KAF founders Susan Krohn and Mary Yenik joined dinner chairs DeeDee and Wallis Marsh in high-fiving the evening's success. Close to $350,000 was raised for the program that helps teachers develop practical skills to manage their classrooms and their schools. It was a big night for foundation executive director Kelly Krohn.
Supporters in the mix included John Havens, Elizabeth and Alan Stein, Laurie and Tracy Krohn, Lori Krohn, Diane Lokey Farb, Donna Vallone, Lora Clemmons, Soraya and Scott McClelland, Sandy and Dr. Barney Barrett, Dominique Sachse and Nick Florescu, Denise Monteleone and Joanne King Herring.
