A return to the '60s brings supporters of The Women's home on a Beatles joy ride
With a theme like "We've Got You Babe," how could The Women's Home annual gala be anything but a rollicking good time?
Susan and Norm Spalding chaired the evening that encouraged retro '60s attire or cocktail for the fashion timid. Danielle and John Ellis served as honorary chairs of the evening that honored a host of supporters: Karen Kash Redden, Kay Walther, Karen Ostrum George and Kay Polasek Joyce and René Joyce of Targa Resources Partners, Heida Thurlow of Chantal, Karen Marti of Wells Fargo, Jerry Fabian and Susan Walker Spalding of Williams and Brenda White of White Garrison and Hill.
Close to 300 turned out at the InterContinental Houston in support of the non-profit that aids struggling women build complete lives.
Setting the pace for the '60s-themed party were the Beatles cover band Beetle and then the El Orbits provided the music that meant dancing the night away.
