Celluloid fever: Filmmakers, Anvil craft cocktails and party kids rock out theCinema Arts Fest
After 16 screenings held across the city on Saturday, hearty partiers supporting the Houston Cinema Arts Festival settled in late night at 300 Main St, the empty downtown space, which for that night was turned into a rockin' party venue for a collection of 250 filmmakers, party kids and film enthusiasts.
Hosted by Media Society, the party featured craft cocktails from Anvil Bar & Refuge with the bartender shaking up creations such as Icelandic punch, South African gimlets and "shrub and dry" martinis. Gigi's Asian Bistro and Dumpling Bar provided the sustenance for the late-night partying.
Raising their glasses to the festival were Cinema Arts Society's Trish Rigdon and Richard Herskowitz, Stuart Rosenberg, Isabel David, Vivian and John Cannizzaro, Nick Greer, Erica Jacobs, Pierre Bordeaux, Carlos Calbillo and Ryan Perry. Filmmakers in the mix included Stacey Steers, Vanessa Renwick, Jorge Hinojosa, Phil Solomon and Willie Rockefeller.
