It was a mighty neighborly evening that found 300 dedicated bon vivants pouring into River Oaks District for a night out that celebrated The Wilshire, the high-rise condo that is going up in the new shopping mecca's backyard.
Haute brands including Giuseppe Zanotti, Brunello Cucinelli, Cartier and Stella McCartney remained open after hours to welcome the throng that was hosted by Pelican Builders founder Robert Bland. Pelican and The Wilshire partnered with the Menil Society for the evening. The duo is a title sponsor for the Menil's 2016 programming. Menil development director Karen Sumner and Menil Society co-chair Judy Nyquist were among the art lovers on board.
The party kicked off at The Wilshire sales center where guests were served champagne and then directed to golf carts, driven by Equinox trainers, for the short ride to the ROD red carpet action.
