Fashion femmes swoon over the glittering gowns of Diane Lokey Farb on display atNeiman Marcus
Eight stunning designer gowns (in size zero) from eight magnificent evenings — that was the shimmering backdrop Tuesday night for a special cocktail party in the couture salon of Neiman Marcus. The gathering honored Diane Lokey Farb as the Fashion Houston 2012 Style Icon and the gowns came from her closet.
While the well-heeled group that gathered to salute the fashionable femme surely knows its way around the couture racks, guests were still slack-jawed at the glittering assembly. The honoree wore one of the Oscar de la Rentas on display to the 2011 Houston Symphony Ball, the Naeem Khan dazzler to a black-tie gala during the Cannes Film Festival and the beautiful Carolina Herrera gown to the Houston Ballet Ball.

The couture salon was transformed into a chic living room setting for the evening — tufted white leather sofas, a full bar set-up and cocktail tables decorated with crystal obelisks and color photos of the petite fashion femme from various galas gave an elegant homelike feel to the surroundings. Uniformed wait staff passed champagne and wine and bountiful trays of hors d'oeuvres.
Neiman Marcus GM Bob Devlin welcomed the gathering of 100 and Momentum Audi's Jared Lang, Fashion Houston founder, congratulated Lokey Farb on her honor.
