UH cheerleaders and that party animal Shasta bring homecoming to 50th floor of an office tower

The 411: With homecoming as the theme of the gathering, University of Houston cheerleaders and mascot Shasta entertained the capacity crowd of 125, who had gathered in anticipation of the Dec. 1 World AIDS Day Luncheon at the Westin Galleria.
David Chaumette, who co-chairs the fundraiser with Dominique Sachse, welcomed guests. Best dressed award of the evening went to Dr. Steve Frangos, Chevron’s Regional Health and Medical Manager for the Americas, who wore his Air Force Academy flight suit.
Set to take bows at the luncheon is State Sen. Rodney Ellis, who will receive the Shelby Hodge Vision Award.
