The ladies kicked up their high heels for an early morning charity walk
OK, so these shoes (of the three- and four-inch heel variety) really weren't made for walking — at least not long distances. But on Saturday morning, nothing could stop the ladies, 200 strong, who joined the Neiman Marcus "Stiletto Strut" for charity.
The fun kicked off in Neiman's shoe salon with a champagne breakfast, hosted by GM Bob Devlin, a silent auction and mouth-watering temptations of the Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik and Chanel variety. Jane Parker and Judy Smith chaired the gathering that raised more than $240,000 for the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at the Dan Duncan Cancer Center at Baylor of College of Medicine.
After bubbly and sweet breakfast treats, the event continued with a pink ribbon cutting and a very fashionable stroll through the Galleria. They returned to Neiman Marcus where they rested their tootsies as they settled in for a runway fashion show.
Among those "strutting their stuff" on behalf of breast cancer research were Sue and Lester Smith, Dr. Suzanne Fuqua, Coco Mahoney, Noelle Jahncke, Susie Burton, Holly Moore, Barbara LeGrange, Sidney Faust, Chris Kase, Lacy Baird and daughter Stella, and Dana Kervin and Mary Carrabba.
