Rebranded antiques and design show gets a glitzy launch at Houston's modern furniture store

The 411: More than 100 design-savvy guests poured in to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the HADA Antiques Show with the show's new owner, Rosemary Kreiger, who came in from Chicago for the party. The Houston Antiques Dealers Association (HADA) disbanded in February, giving Kreiger's Dolphin Promotions the opportunity to step in, rebrand and re-ignite the show. The curtain goes up on the bigger and better show at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Sept. 19 and continues through Sept. 21.
Visitors can expect more decorative and fine art dealers including dealers in 20th century modern furnishings; thus, the event was held at mrspk&oz, which specializes in vintage 20th century modern. Other newcomers to the show are Lynne Good Vintage, Atelier 1505 and Los Angeles-based Vandeuren Galleries.
