The 411: As chairs of the Nov. 22 Celebrity Paws gala, Wezy and Bobby Dees, Saks Fifth Avenue GM, welcomed a merry and barking throng into their Galleria home away from home for a kickoff to the 28th annual benefit for Citizens for Animal Protection. Wezy carried their pooch while a few of the contenders brought along their dogs as well. The party served as an unveiling of the Gittings portraits of the Top Ten Elite, who will bid for Pet of the Year honors.
Those elite include Tony Bradfield and Kevin Black, Irma Brindis, Sam Byington, Robert Federowicz, Penny and Paul Loyd, Laura McIngvale Brown, Cyndy Garza Roberts and Rini Ziegler along with junior honorees Justin, Cole and Chandler Smith.
Part of the evening's buzz revolved around the new Subaru, donated by West Houston Subaru, that will be raffled off at the gala.
