PetSet takes a bite out of animal abuse by raising funds for rescue groups
If there's one thing partygoers at the Omni Houston Hotel had in common Saturday night, it was a special affection for four-legged critters.
The PetSet bunch gathered forces for the "Be Fierce & Fabulous" benefit that raised funds for animal rescue and animal welfare organizations. Since its founding in 2003, the group of like-minded pet-lovers has raised more than $300,000 for the popular Highland Village Adoption Center as well as the SPCA and the Humane Society, among others.
Overseeing the night of DJ dancing, sipping and socializing were chairs Moniczka Latigo, Tim Moloney and Andrew Seerden. Helping bring in the big bucks was auctioneer Jeff Smith. Bidding on the holiday in a Costa Rican mansion went hot and heavy until Tyson Faust made the final high bid.
In addition to the benefit chairs, board members on hand included president Cindy Griffin plus Kelly Kimberly, Aaron Howes, Pamela Radford, Courtney Hopson, Tena Faust and Tama Lundquist.
The party crowd included Leslie Bennett, Kelli Kickerillo and Todd Forester, Neal Hamil, Mark Sullivan, Lauren Levicki, Courtney and Jason Fertitta, Alex Knight, Leigh Williams, Jillian Rotter, Kathryn Smith, Rob Rutherford, John Evatz, Carla and Alex Martinez, fashion designerDavid Peck, Gretchen Ferguson and Liz and Matt Moriarty.
