It might have looked like any other bustling happy hour at Fox Hollow the other evening when more than 200 young professionals poured in, but there was a bit more to this gathering, held under the auspices of Houston Social Source.
The former Houston Single Force was sold last year to Jennifer Huthmacher and she went about transforming the dating service into a hybrid dating/networking organization for everyone from young professionals to goldie oldies looking for either love connections or business alignments. Face-to-face encounters are the hallmark of the rebranded entity.
The fete at Fox Hollow was all about signing up a young professional crowd and, indeed, the results were good with a large number of new members signing on.
Activities are held weekly with larger events coordinated each month. Members can organize their own meet-and-greets.
Among guests sipping on signature "Social Sangria" and lighter libations and joining in the YP schmooze were Denise Furlough, James Glassman, Lauren Levicki, Brian Thorp, Paul Pettie, Erica Gillum, Zach Hunt, Beth Levine, Marcus Carter, Leslie Jackson and Kari Govin.
