Hiillary Clinton's Houston Move
Hillary Clinton and a Houston venture capitalist get cozy in Apsen
While spending much of the summer in their Rocky Mountain aerie, Beverle and Marc Ostrofsky are taking in the intellectual offerings at the Aspen Institute where they briefly rubbed elbows with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, following her presentation at the Aspen Ideas Festival.
Clinton serendipitously bumped into the best selling author and venture capitalist after her presentation and suddenly Ostrofsky found himself in the ultimate photo op moment, she with his book, Word of Mouse, in hand. Needless to say the Houston entrepreneur was flying higher than Aspen's 8,000 feet. "Love that she is holding the book in the photo," he emailed.

Added bonus of the ideas festival, the Houston couple also took in Elizabeth Holmes' talk. "She is a Houston native who graces the cover of Fortune Magazine this week!" Ostrofsky emailed. "I invested in her company when she was 19. Now 30, that start up, Theranos, is featured in the magazine which values the private Silicon Valley firm at $9 Billion. Seriously."
A bit of background on the peripatetic Ostrofsky: He graduated from Stratford High School and his father was a business professor at the University of Houston for 35 years. He was the first outside investor in Houston based Blinds.com, which recently sold to Home Depot. He still owns CuffLinks.com, SummerCamps.com, Consulting.com, Photographer.com, SalesTraining.com and Bachelor.com.
