Sexy Porsche Boxster hits H-Town & party crowd gets a preview at MomentumPorsche bash
Momentum Porsche morphed into party central Saturday night — complete with DJ, live band, food stations, a cigar post and a margarita bar — all for the introduction of the newly-designed 2013 Boxster, a seductive two-door roadster that has my name written all over it.
No, I'm not a sports car afficionado, but I know a set of must-have wheels when I see it. And I wasn't alone among the gathering of 200 car fans who were impressed by the first redesign of the Boxster since 1999. According to GM Ben Dugger and sales manager Mike Denney, the "all new" mid-engine luxury model has been redesigned inside and out and is more powerful and more dynamic than its predecessor.

The 2013 Boxsters officially go on sale Saturday, but the first six have already been spoken for. Look for the sleek sportsters on the road some time in July.
Porsche owners, car buffs and social scenesters turned out for the unveiling at the invitation of Diane Caplan, eCommerce and marketing director for Momentum Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover, Porsche/Audi and Porsche West Houston.
Before the black cloths were whisked off the shiny new wheels, guests schmoozed, while DJ Seneca spun the discs, and inspected the field of other Porsche models — Carreras, Cayennes and the dreamy four-door Panamera — that filled the parking lot. Photo ops at the Catch the Moment booth and a raffle to benefit SNAP were all part of the action.
Once the new beauties were unveiled, the Mac Williams band cranked up the tunes outside. Guests found shade beneath white Porsche umbrellas and seating in white sofas and chairs.
Getting an eye-full of the appealing new Boxter, priced from $50,000 to $70,000, were Kim Padgett, Debbie Alias, Michael Steven, Paula Mott, Dave Madden, Jason Xenos, Woody Nassar, Patricia Sturion, Riyad Abu-Taha, Kristoph Petrosky and Bryan Fazio.
