Ovarcome celebrates triumphs in fight against ovarian cancer at Gatsby-style gala

The scoop:Ovarcome's third annual gala had a Roaring '20s vibe, as more than 250 guests were asked to come dressed in Great Gatsby style. The evening, which raised funds for the ovarian cancer foundation founded by Runsi Sen in 2012 in memory of her mother, had a celebratory air as cancer survivors, caregivers and those battling the disease, who call themselves "Teal Warriors," danced to the empowering song, "I Will Survive," sung by the Bubba and Greg Duo.
Dr. Margaret Foti, CEO of American Association for Cancer Research, was honored with the Ovarcome Excellence Award. Other honorees included Lynnsey Tirey, Angelisa Hood, Betty White, Tonya Childress, Pat Ferreira, and Deborah Garcia.
Who: Joining in the celebration were Ovarcome board members Dr. Priya Bhosale, Mike Beck, Rob Heifner, Juuhi Ahuja, Dr. Aparna Kamat, Betty White, Dr. Anil Sood, and Dr. Anirban Maitra.
