Houston's glamorous women wow a major fashion figure: Mother-daughter runway power
What: Generations of Glamour fashion show and fundraiser.
The 411: The Uptown Park retailer hosted the evening that saluted mothers and daughters of style and doubled as a benefit for Ronald McDonald House Houston. Jeanne Ruberti choreographed the runway show featuring designs by Liancarlo and Rolando Santana, who was special guest. One of the fashionistas was so taken with Santana's designs that she purchased eight looks from the style show. Surveying the glam lineup of ladies, Santana was said to remark, "I'm telling you, women here are really serious about dressing."
Mother/daughter duos walking the catwalk were Karen Aspromonte with Ellie McBarnet, Kelly Lubanko with Kaia Kessler, Maria Alcala-Herrera with Angelica Alcala-Herrera, Becca Dunne with Alli Pruett, Rhonda Sandel with Chelsea Wallace and Peyton Saverance, Ume Mouton with Samaria Mouton and Meg Watel with Haylee Watel.
