New Jaguar convertible is a showstopper at unveiling party
More than 300 automobile lovers turned out at Momentum Jaguar to get a first look at the new 2014 Jaguar F-Type convertible. And they weren't disappointed.
The stylish car —the first true sports car added to the Jaguar lineup in 40 years — was revealed in dramatic fashion as sales manager Jimmy Olguin cheekily noted, "Jaguar drops an F-bomb on the Germans," and salesmen John Steen and Marcus Zweit whipped off a red covering to wild applause amid much oohing and aahing. Afterwards, the crowd surrounded the car to get a close-up look and pose for photos.
Vocalist Kristine Mills entertained guests who noshed on delectables from Eddie V’s and Café Natalie and sipped specialty cocktails by Vesico Vodka and byejoe spirits in the Jaguar VIP lounge. Those who wanted to make it an evening of shopping perused pop-up stores set up by Cakewalk Style, Wiesenthal Men’s Collection, ES Vanity Lounge and Azur West salon.
Proceeds from an evening raffle benefited longtime Jaguar customer Kristi Schiller’s K9 For Cops. Spotted in the crowd were Cindi and Franklin Rose, Taft McWhorter, Tara Brivic, Mike and Terri Turner, Jaguar manufacturer representative Chandler Magoon, Hanh Tran, Momentum marketing director Diane Caplan and Michael Caplan, Chester Pitts, Dr. Roland Maldonado and Jonathan Tinkle.
