Shopping 'til you drop with a charity twist: Spring fling at Tootsies pays forCovenant House
Members of the Covenant House Texas Guild were all over Tootsies the other day, loving the shop 'til you drop opp that meant 10 percent of every purchase went to the non-profit. The party with plenty of mimosas and champagne doubled as both a fundraiser and membership drive.
The annual Spring Fling provides guests and members the opportunity to sign up for volunteer committees that host birthday parties, special events, parenting enrichment classes and the annual Covenant House Texas gala. Proceeds from all the events benefit programs for the homeless youth served by the Montrose-area facility. The guild has been raising funds and providing services to Covenant House for 25 years.
Organizing the fete that featured informal modeling of fashions by Raoul were guild members Cheryl Boblitt and Shari Provenzano and guild president Amanda Crump.
Adding to the event's success were Price DuBose, Laura Litton Aimee Snoots, Derya Baysal, Samantha Lanclos, Michelle Smith, Jo Ann Petersen, Jane Page Crump, Julie Combs and Kristen Carlson.
