Fine wine gourmet dinner translates into big success for Small Steps
What: The annual Small Steps Wine Classic.
Where: At a private club on the edge of the Houston Polo Club grounds.
The 411: Once again Guy Stout, Master Sommelier and executive with Glazer’s, oversaw the wine selection and shared insights on his choices with the 500-plus guests. The fundraiser is built around a four-course dinner with carefully selected wine pairings. The evening was chaired by Connally and Mark Burroughs Jr. and Meredith and Langston Turner.
The gents joined in the program on the Small Steps Nurturing Center with the non-profit's executive director Ana Schick. The evening raised more than $600,000 for programs that provide early childhood education and emotional care for at-risk children.
