ABC newsman's wrenching recovery from an Iraq roadside bomb detailed by his wife in Houston

The 411: More than 500 packed the ballroom to hear Lee Woodruff, co-author of the best seller In an Instant, talk about her husband ABC anchor Bob Woodruff's recovery from traumatic brain injury which was due to a roadside bomb in Iraq. Her prescription for those dealing with communication difficulties due to stroke or brain injury was four F's — friends, family, faith and funny. The event raised more than $250,000 for the agency that aids individuals suffering from aphasia as well as their families and caregivers. The luncheon was chaired by the mother-daughter team of Jerry J. Andrews and Cheryl Duff. Honorees were Missy and Allen McInnes.
