Matt Schaub and reality TV in the house at Tootsies as Texas Children's celebrates Pavilion for Women
Ladies, ladies, ladies — Tootsies was crawling with fashionable femmes celebrating the upcoming opening of labor and delivery services at Texas Children's Hospital's Pavilion for Women. Add three notable gents to the mix — Tootsies proprietor Mickey Rosmarin, fashion designer David Peck and Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.
Adding a touch of reality TV excitement to the proceedings were TLC cameras that were rolling on Dr. Jen Arnold, a neonatologist at the Pavilion and star of the network's program The Little Couple.
The fun focused on the runway where Texas Children's Hospital supporters such as Laurie Schaub, Madelyn Thornton, Judy Shackouls, Claudia Thornton and Elizabeth Shackouls modeled spring fashions. The catwalk action followed the various stages of a woman's life from dating to engagement to marriage to children. Lindsey Zorich, sporting a baby bump, represented the motherhood portion of the life cycle.
KPRC Channel 2 reporter Rachel McNeill served as emcee for the event that featured a few words from Pavilion Women's Advisory Committee member Laura Robertson. She shared her experience as part of a team of women who influenced design features of the Pavilion. Texas Children's senior vice president Cris Daskevich welcomed guests to the celebration of the Pavilion, which is currently open for outpatient services.
The fashion crowd included Nancy Gordon, Dr. Huda Zoghbi, Tricia Dewhurst, Laura Bellows, Kelli Blanton, Katherine Houston, Stephanie Hertzog and Joanne Belfort.
