The 411: Best-selling author of Wild, Cheryl Strayed shared tales of her solitary thousand-mile trek along the Pacific Crest Trail, fodder for her book that is currently being filmed with Reese Witherspoon portraying Strayed in the lead role. Luncheon chairs Jennifer O'Donnell and Christina O'Shell welcomed more than 760 guests to the event that raised a record $390,000. Emcee Lisa Malosky introduced Dorothy Ables, who received the Robin Bush Award for her leadership in serving the needs of children individually and through her roles as president of the Junior League of Houston and The Children's Fund.
